To celebrate the 40th anniversary of EKKO, I was asked to paint a mural in the entrance hall. This spot simply asked for a queue moving toward the venue. They bring flowers as a ritual of appreciation and beauty. A gesture that feels close to music somehow, like applause or an encore. A back-and-forth between maker and audience.
The hallway is long and narrow and therefore this mural is very tricky to capture in one single photo but i love how from one side it reads like a soft, melodic blur of colors, and as you walk through it towards the venue, the details and characters start to unfold bit by bit.
